With 60 miles (96) km of the South West Coast Path and hundreds of miles of public rights of way criss-crossing the area, the most rewarding way of exploring South Devon is on foot.
You can do this by taking advantage of the buses and ferries or by jumping aboard a steam train to experience the excitement of a bygone era travel.

Electrical Cars

Charging points are:  Morrisons, SHDC @ Follaton House and Dartington Hall

this is the website we link to carwow :

Cutting-edge ‘rapid’ Electric Vehicle (EV) charge points have now been commissioned for public use at three council car parks in South Hams and Teignbridge.

EV users can now charge their electric vehicles at the Chudleigh Library car park, Buckfastleigh’s Mardle Way car park and at Ivybridge’s Glanvilles Mill car park.

The ‘rapid’ charge points are among the fastest chargers available – EVs should have an 80 per cent charge within 30 minutes, and will be operated by SWARCO and compatible with all EVs currently on the market.

I’ve read that it’s quite complex as to what car can plug into the different socket systems that are available to recharge!

With your own personal driver guide, you can explore South Devon at your own pace. Taxis are also essential when walking the South West Coast path and to ensure you can enjoy local events you can enjoy local events to the maximum.
